Job Summary
Apprentices will assist with painting, drywall taping, sanding, patching, finishing, carpentry, framing, drywall installation, material handling, demolition, site preparation, and general construction labor. Program follows the New York State Department of Labor Registered Apprenticeship, lasting 3–4 years (about 6,000 hours) with paid on-the-job training and classroom instruction, safety and trade-related training, and progressive wage increases. Successful graduates will be classified as Journeyman-level workers. Starting pay is $20 per hour for non-prevailing wage/private work; prevailing wage projects pay according to applicable wage schedules. Locations include Nassau & Suffolk Counties (Long Island), New York City, and the Hudson Valley Region. Minimum qualifications include legal work authorization in the United States, age 18+, reliable transportation, and a safety-conscious, learning-oriented attitude; physical requirements include lifting up to 50 pounds and the ability to perform indoor/outdoor work in varying conditions. Employment is contingent on meeting program requirements and completion of required employment documentation.
