Job Summary
Analyze and monitor project financial data, budget performance, and cost trends while reviewing construction schedules to support progress evaluations. Participate in progress meetings to identify and resolve issues, and review testing, inspection, and quality assurance documentation for compliance. Support claims administration, change management, and contract modifications by reviewing contractor work documentation for conformance with approved schedules. Prepare analytical reports, correspondence, and program status documentation while maintaining tracking tools for oversight. Advise program leadership on construction administration best practices and compliance considerations. This role reports to the Program Manager at a VA Hospital in Augusta, ME, requiring three years of experience in construction administration within healthcare or government environments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum of three (3) years of construction work experience
- Minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in construction administration, construction management, or a closely related field
- Must possess the skillset and competence to work with and manage personnel of diverse skillsets
Desired Qualifications
- Have supported complex construction projects within healthcare, government, or institutional environments
- Are comfortable analyzing financial, schedule, and compliance data to support program-level decisions
- Can operate independently while collaborating effectively with program leadership, clients, and contractors
- Experience supporting regulated environments (federal, healthcare, or institutional)
- Equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience
- A minimum of three (3) years of construction work experience may substitute for a college degree if it demonstrates the necessary competency
