Job Summary
Construction Administrator responsible for coordinating and monitoring construction activities on mechanical and electrical systems, liaising with engineers, contractors and trades, and helping ensure that work is delivered accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with plans, specifications, schedules, and contract requirements. This role involves site visits, coordinating drawings and as-built documentation, monitoring schedules, and resolving technical issues with a focus on quality. Located in the Ottawa region with a 37.5-hour workweek, hybrid work policy, and a strong emphasis on collaboration and professional development.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a technical diploma or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, building systems, or a related field
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role
- Must possess a valid driver’s license, and access to a vehicle
- Excellent communications skills in English, verbal and written. French is an asset.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Versatility, autonomy and proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Strong skills in report writing and experience working in multidisciplinary teams
- High attention to detail and strong commitment to quality
