Job Summary
Construction Administrator needed to support project teams in Columbia, SC, reading plans and contract documents, coordinating with project architects, CAs, and consultants, performing field verifications, pre-construction reviews, QA/QC, document control, RFI responses, and facilitating OAC meetings; travel to project sites for site visits and meetings; manage submittals, shop drawings, punch lists, and closeout Documentation; ensure compliance with owner and GC requirements and maintain organized project records.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s / associate degree in construction science and/or management, architecture, engineering, or related field.
- 3-5 years combined experience in construction administration and/or architecture.
- Previous experience in an architecture, engineering, or construction industry firm.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to read and understand plan documents.
- Understanding of building technology fundamentals.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Ability to effectively and confidently prioritize and execute tasks with many competing priorities.
- Ability to absorb new ideas and concepts quickly.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Exceptional organizational and follow-through skills.
- Self-motivated and ability to work independently.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
