Job Summary
Constructability Review Specialist responsible for supporting the Design Manager and Owner Authorized Representative during preconstruction. Key duties include defining the project scope and schedule, making value engineering recommendations at design outset, identifying inconsistencies and ambiguities in design deliverables to reduce RFIs and Change Orders, ensuring cross-discipline document coordination, preparing comprehensive constructability reviews of pre-bid construction documents, and coordinating efforts with senior project leadership. Proficiency in RFC writing, submittal reviews, change orders, and software tools (e.g., Bluebeam, MS Word/Excel) is required. Salary range for this onsite Los Angeles, CA role is $167,000–$177,000 per year.
Required Qualifications
- 15 years’ full-time professional paid experience with an Architecture degree (10 years as Construction Administrator and 5 years as Designer) or 15 years as Project Superintendent/Project Manager on public/educational facilities and large commercial projects with specific project-value thresholds, or two years of college-level coursework plus five years of additional experience as a substitute for the educational requirement.
