Job Summary
Record vital statistics, assess physical conditions, and administer basic health care and medical treatments. Provide assistance with daily living activities including dressing, bathing, grooming, toileting, meal preparation, and laundry. Clean patient living areas or treatment rooms, collect non-invasive biological specimens, and prepare medical equipment. Perform clerical work related to scheduling and documenting patient healthcare. When necessary, provide one-on-one care to patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED)
- Knowledge of healthcare, anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and medical equipment/supplies
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
- North Dakota Department of Health Nurse Aide Registry (if working in ND and not a CNA)
- Ability to obtain and subsequently maintain required department specific competencies and certifications
- Strong communication skills
- Customer service skills
- Multi-tasking skills
- Organizational skills
- Ability to provide one on one care to patients when necessary for safe provision of care
- Availability for 12 hour night shifts
- Availability for every third weekend and holiday commitment
Desired Qualifications
- High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required
