Job Summary
Conservation Technician I at Greenville Water—assist with sustainability of the watershed and reservoir through studies in forestry, horticulture, hydrology, and wildlife; support water quality and source water protection research; may assist with grant applications and compliance with funding bodies; operate equipment (mowers, tractors, backhoes, dozers, excavators); may require rotating weekends and nights; must obtain specified environmental certifications within 2 years; valid driver’s license required. Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Forestry, Biology, Horticulture, Environmental Science, Hydrology or Wildlife is required
- Bachelor's of Science Degree is preferred but not required
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in this field
- Must maintain a valid State driver's license
- Must be able to obtain EPA Watershed Certificate within 2 years
- Adopt a Stream
- Chainsaw Class S-212 or equivalent
- Wildland Fire: S-130; S-190, L-180
- Skills: Mower, Tractor, Backhoe, Dozer & Excavator
