Conservation Real Estate Manager

Job Summary
Lead complex land protection projects across Colorado, Kansas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas by developing, managing, and completing transactions that advance the Southern High Plains Initiative. Utilize conservation easements, fee title acquisitions, and Purchase, Protect, Resell strategies to protect intact grasslands, habitat for rare species, and agriculturally productive rangelands. Work directly with ranching families, Tribal Nations, government agencies, and land trust partners to negotiate complex agreements and develop partnerships. Craft compelling written narratives for grant proposals and project pitches while independently managing multiple projects and timelines. Maintain compliance with the Auto Safety Program and Vehicle Use Agreement, which includes reviewing motor vehicle records. This individual contributor role requires a BA/BS in law, business, or related fields with three years of land conservation experience.
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS, law or business degree
- 3 years' experience in land conservation, real estate, natural resource management, or related field
- Experience with principles of land acquisition
- Experience negotiating complex agreements
- Experience managing multiple projects and timelines
- Experience developing partnerships with landowners, government agencies, conservation organizations, or community groups
- Experience crafting and sustaining compelling written narratives for grant proposals, funder communications, and project pitches
- Experience using applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Web Browsers
- Valid driver's license
- Compliance with TNC's Auto Safety Program
- Completion of a Vehicle Use Agreement
