Job Summary
Conservation Programs Technician supports water conservation initiatives by assisting Conservation Coordinators with program administration, field evaluations, rebate processing, landscape measurements, participant consultations, and compliance verification; conducts off-site field visits and office tasks (60% field, 40% office), educates residents on water-wise landscaping and efficient irrigation, and helps gather program communications media. Requires two years of college coursework in related fields, valid driver’s license, and proficiency with MS Office. Wage is $18.00 per hour for a full-time role (40 hours/week) in West Jordan, UT, with occasional weekend events; background checks and drug screening may be required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of two years of college coursework in natural resources, conservation, environmental science, horticulture, landscape management, plant science, landscape design, or a related field
- Valid driver's license
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Strong time management, attention to detail, and accurate data entry skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
- Genuine interest in water conservation and sustainable practices
