Job Summary
Provide a first response to tenants requiring repairs and maintenance on Alice Springs Town Camps and remote communities. Inspect properties to identify and assess required work, then undertake minor repairs under the Team Leader's direction. Report any tasks needing trade qualifications to the Team Leader while recording, documenting, and photographing all requests, completed work, and materials used. Maintain Occupational Health and Safety standards and assist with safeguarding, quality management, and compliance objectives. Work with children, people with disabilities, and vulnerable individuals, ensuring safety and reporting any concerns in line with duty of care obligations.
Required Qualifications
- Good spoken and written English
- Ability to work as part of a team and to follow directions
- Ability to work onsite without a supervisor present at times
- Ability and willingness to read and follow policies, procedures, and plans
- Previous building; repairs and maintenance; or essential services work
- Ability to obtain a White Card
- Current NT Drivers Licence
- NT Working with Children (Ochre) Card
- satisfactory Police Check
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to speak one or more local languages
- Certificate and/or training in building and construction
- Ability and willingness to attain a first aid certificate
