Job Summary
Lead large-scale generation, storage, and load connections to AusNet's electricity distribution network, managing end-to-end projects from initial enquiry through close-out including R0, R1, and R2 stages. Develop and negotiate commercial and technical solutions while navigating the National Electricity Rules to facilitate compliant connection processes. Undertake project financial modelling, prepare customer offers, and defendable contracts to minimize cost and schedule variations. Build trusted relationships with developers, regulators, and internal stakeholders to drive innovation and network growth. Based in Southbank, Melbourne, with flexible hybrid working arrangements.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience managing complex grid-scale generation and major load connection projects
- Strong commercial, financial and negotiation skills
- Exceptional stakeholder, customer and contract management capability
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a passion for delivering outcomes
- The ability to translate strategic priorities into practical actions and results
- Strong understanding of the technical, commercial and regulatory drivers shaping the energy industry including knowledge of Chapters 5 and 5A of the National Electricity Rules and its application to the network connections
- A current Australian Driver Licence
