Job Summary
The Connections Director oversees the First Impressions ministry, assimilation, and guest services for Church on the Rock. Responsibilities include managing Sunday services and events, establishing and resourcing the Welcome Center, coordinating and training Greeters, Ushers, and Welcome Center volunteers, scheduling teams, handling purchase requests and budgeting in partnership with the Campus Pastor, ensuring guest follow-up and data entry, and maintaining effective communication with staff and volunteers. Requires proficiency with Church Community Builder (ULink), Microsoft 365, Teams, and Canva; part-time hourly role of up to 15 hours/week based in Wasilla, Alaska. The role emphasizes hospitality, volunteer coordination, event support, and administrative tasks to create a welcoming environment for attendees.
Required Qualifications
- Current screening form and background check on file
- Proficiency with Church Community Builder (U-Link), Microsoft 365, Teams, and Canva
- Strong organizational, communication, and strategic thinking skills
- Experience coordinating events, managing databases, and supporting team collaboration
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Be willing to learn/use the COTR app and assist guests with related needs
