Job Summary
Process sales transactions involving cash, credit, or financial aid payments while greeting customers to ensure a positive experience. Operate equipment and cash registers to maintain speed of service and accurate transactions. Keep the store fresh by shelving, arranging, cleaning, and organizing products, plus performing routine housekeeping such as dusting, mopping, and window cleaning. Assist store leaders in all facets of retail operations to ensure optimal performance. Work during peak periods including semester starts and ends, with occasional weekends and flexible scheduling throughout the academic year. Seasonal Bookseller pay rate is $17.25/hr with daily pay earned wage access available.
Required Qualifications
- Candidates must be a minimum of 18 years of age to be considered for employment.
- Confident and comfortable engaging customers to deliver an elevated experience.
- An outstanding attitude with the willingness to learn and the capability to excel in a fast-paced, team environment.
- Basic math, keyboarding, and data entry skills.
- Flexible availability throughout the academic year including peak periods.
- Confirmation of vaccination (in accordance with individual campus requirements).
- Use of face masks throughout the day and while on campus (may be expected or required).
