Job Summary
Leads the market-quality improvement effort for infotainment and connected-car issues in North America, builds and directs the Connected Vehicle Service Quality (CVSQ) Team, and negotiates with internal and external partners (FAST, SOA, SIA, SBR, and suppliers) to resolve quality issues. Drives the organizational strategy for CVSQ, plans retailer visits and regular quality-improvement meetings (including overseas), develops team capabilities through goal setting, performance reviews, training, and career development, and collaborates with Subaru teams to propose future product quality improvements. Requires senior-level leadership, deep automotive quality engineering expertise, cross-functional collaboration, and strong communication skills; familiarity with Android OS, Linux, Java, C, and QA processes; and experience managing software development and quality initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree Required Or H.S. Diploma and equivalent years of experience Required
- At least 10-12 years of related work experience Required
- At least 6-8 years of experience managing quality improvement or development in an automotive company Required
- At least 8-10 years of work experience in connected development Required
- Working knowledge of state-of-the-art quality inspection, QE/QA techniques, and general business operations
- General knowledge of software - Android OS and Linux, Java and C, reading schematics
- Experience managing software development processes Preferred
- Ability to interact with Japanese business practices
- Experience with leading a team
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, Access
- Ability to foster cross-organizational teamwork
