Connected Commerce and Cards - AI Modeling Lead

Job Summary
Lead modeling engagements end-to-end within JPMorgan Chase's Connected Commerce and Cards organization, designing, training, and deploying ML/AI models tailored to business goals with emphasis on commerce use cases and measurable customer/business impact. Act as a subject-matter expert and trusted advisor to business partners, drive production readiness and operational reliability, ensure governance and regulatory compliance, and mentor junior team members. Leverage modern ML/DL techniques (including deep learning, reinforcement learning, optimization) and AI tooling (LLMs, generative AI patterns). Collaborate with governance teams for documentation and performance tracking; work with Databricks and Snowflake; ship models at pace while maintaining risk standards.
Required Qualifications
- M.S. degree in quantitative discipline (e.g., Machine Learning/AI, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics/Statistics, or Operations Research)
- 5–7 years of hands-on experience developing machine learning models with exposure to deep learning, reinforcement learning, or optimization
- Proficient in Python with TensorFlow, PyTorch and libraries such as NumPy, Scikit-Learn, Pandas; strong Jupyter Notebook/Lab
- Fluency with modern AI tooling including LLMs, generative AI patterns, and agentic frameworks; ability to select tools that balance speed-to-value with safety and maintainability
