Conjoint Research Fellow – Audiology

Job Summary

Lead and contribute to an independent, team-based research program in adult Audiology, designing, conducting, and disseminating high-quality outputs to build national recognition. Present findings at conferences and engage with key stakeholders to translate evidence into better clinical practice. Undertake Chief Investigator responsibilities for external research funding applications, supervise UQ students, and support researcher capability development. Contribute to postgraduate teaching and evidence-based practice initiatives across The University of Queensland and Princess Alexandra Hospital. Build strong partnerships with professional bodies, industry, and the wider community to strengthen research capacity.

Required Qualifications

  • Completion of a PhD in Audiology
  • Clinical experience
  • Understanding of clinical priorities and constraints within a healthcare setting
  • A growing profile in research which is relevant to Audiology services provided at the Princess Alexandra Hospital
  • A desire to support clinical research in a broad array of research areas at UQ
  • A proven ability to develop, organise, and undertake research in consultation with others to develop cooperative research initiatives
  • Experience in both quantitative and qualitative research methods
  • Evidence of engaging in multidisciplinary research and health services research
  • Evidence of translating research into clinical practice
  • A commitment to building long-term relationships and research partnerships to support research capacity building within the PAH Audiology department
  • Experience in seeking and obtaining research funding
  • A developing reputation and track record of publications in reputed refereed journals
  • Experience presenting at conferences
  • Verification of the right to work in Australia
  • Professional registration
  • Mandatory immunisations
  • Unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this appointment
