Job Summary
Respond to conflict inquiries via email, mail, or telephone and track, maintain, and resolve conflict memorandums. Review new business submissions for content accuracy, follow up on potential conflicts, and coordinate resolution with involved attorneys. Prepare conflict reports for clients and lateral hires, conduct research on adverse parties and corporate family trees, and advise on ethical walls for new matters. Manage pending business and ethical conflict issues while adhering to firm procedures. This remote-first role within The Hub supports Fish's Risk Management Department, with locations in MA, DE, NY, CA, DC, MN, TX, GA, and IL.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience
- 3+ years of related ethics and conflicts experience in a law firm
- strong knowledge of law firm administrative processes
- Ability to identify issues and problems and to recommend and implement solutions
- Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under time constraints
- Attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and perform effectively under pressure
- Experience with and ability to effectively use software such as word processing, spreadsheets, and database tools
- Interpersonal skills necessary to maintain effective relationships and communicate with a diverse group of principals, attorneys, managers and staff whether in person, via telephone, or via e-mail
- Ability to successfully develop quality team relationships, work well within a team-oriented environment, and contribute to and participate in effective team relationships
- Ability to change and adapt to current and future responsibilities and circumstances and adhere to the firm's policies and procedures
