Job Summary
Conflicts Attorney to review and analyze conflicts reports, identify potential conflicts of interest, draft clear and concise waivers to resolve identified issues before opening new matters, participate in engagement letter reviews, ensure compliance with outside counsel guidelines, assist with audit letters, and perform conflict searches. The role requires providing guidance to Firm partners and attorneys, working with a team under minimal supervision, and coordinating with conflicts analysts. Key skills include strong written and verbal communication, organizational and analytical abilities, ability to meet tight deadlines, handling confidential information, and quick learning. Core qualifications include a JD, law license in CA/IL/DC/NY, at least 3 years of relevant experience, and familiarity with iManage, Aderant, and Capital IQ.
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctorate (JD)
- Licensed in CA, IL, DC or NY
- At least three (3) years of Conflicts Attorney work experience
- Ability to supervise work of Conflicts Analysts
- Knowledge of conflicts of interest software databases
- Experience with iManage or other document management/retention software
- Experience with the Aderant accounting system helpful
- Familiarity with legal research tools and databases, including Capital IQ
