Job Summary
Configuration Team Leader will run the Configuration Centre in Hemel Hempstead, acting as the key interface between warehouse, services, sales, and customers to ensure fully configured, QA-approved devices move through the order lifecycle on time. Responsibilities include leading a team of configuration engineers/technicians, prioritising workload to meet SLAs, overseeing device build, staging, and configuration across hardware, maintaining configuration accuracy and audit trails, coordinating dispatch readiness with the warehouse, monitoring delivery performance against SLAs/KPIs/OLAs, resolving bottlenecks, reporting on throughput and quality, and driving continuous improvement, standardisation, and automation while ensuring compliance with customer requirements and security standards.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in IT build, configuration, staging, or deployment environments
- In-depth understanding of IT hardware and hands-on experience with Intune & EndPoint (SCCM and Jamf desirable)
- Experience leading or supervising technical/operational teams
- Strong understanding of hardware lifecycle services (build, imaging, asset tagging)
- Experience working in warehouse or logistics-linked operations
- Ability to deliver against SLAs for configuration and dispatch timelines
- Track record of maintaining build accuracy, throughput, and low defect rates
- Focus on stock accuracy, team productivity, and health & safety compliance
