Job Summary
The Configuration Manager will own and enforce product configuration control across engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain systems. Key responsibilities include defining and implementing configuration control rules, managing and maintaining BOM integrity, conducting audits for as-built vs as-designed documentation, collaborating with engineering on part validation, and ensuring compliance with quality management standards. The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor’s degree and have 5–10 years of relevant experience, along with proficiency in ERP and PLM systems.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Systems, or related field
- 5–10 years of experience in Configuration Management, Product Lifecycle, or Systems Engineering within aerospace, defense, or complex hardware manufacturing
- Proven experience with ERP (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and PLM (e.g., Arena, Teamcenter, Windchill) systems
- Strong understanding of Engineering Change Control (ECO/ECR) and revision management
- Familiarity with BOM structures, serial number traceability, and work order management
- Excellent attention to detail, documentation, and cross-functional communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, and ITAR compliance
