Job Summary
Configuration Management Specialist responsible for end-to-end CM activities including product identification, change control, status accounting, and library management across development, testing, and production. Safeguards baselines and interfaces via ECP/Specification processing, coordinates Configuration Control Boards, prepares configuration reports, and supports releases of system and applications software. Develops and maintains CM plans, policies, and procedures; drafts Build Notes, Release Notes, and Version Description Documents; manages requirements, design, and code CM; handles Technical Data Packages from requirements through deployment; monitors and migrates libraries; conducts configuration audits; liaises with programmers, IT personnel, customers, and stakeholders; ensures contract data requirements are met and master records are maintained for baselines and change control. Requires a Bachelor's degree, 5 years of CM experience on similar programs, CM tool proficiency, certifications (ITIL/CCMP/SEC+/CMII), ability to work in a classified/sensitive environment, strong communication skills, and US citizenship with preferred DHS clearance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree required
- 5 years of experience as a Configuration Management Specialist on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
- Ability to assist in implementing hardware and software version control processes, policies, and procedures
- Relevant certifications in configuration management (e.g., ITIL, CCMP, SEC+, CMII Certification)
- Experience working in a classified or sensitive environment
- Proficiency in using industry-standard configuration management tools
- Familiarity with software development methodologies and practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Working knowledge of BMC Remedy, and Salesforce
- Experience supporting CM programs for the DHS, TSA, DoD or FAA is a plus
- Security Clearance: MUST BE US CITIZEN
- DHS Secret Security Clearance preferred
- Public Trust, DoD Security Clearance, or clearable people who will pass DHS suitability guidelines
