Job Summary

Draft, implement, and promulgate leadership's direction on Configuration Management to ensure system changes are identified, documented, controlled, and audited. Develop and manage Division-level Configuration Management Plans, facilitate Engineering Review Boards and Configuration Change Control Boards, and maintain the Program Technical baseline in document repositories. Conduct Functional and Physical Configuration Audits and provide program-level coordination to integrate Division-level plans. Support development of CM training, develop technical baseline products and change tracking artifacts, and organize system configurations with Program Managers and Lead Engineers. Requires Active Secret clearance and 5+ years of CM experience. On-site in El Segundo, CA, with approximately 10% travel.

Required Qualifications

  • Active Secret clearance required for this position
  • 5 years of relevant experience with Configuration Management (CM)
  • demonstrated high proficiency and familiarity with mature CM practices and procedures
  • Knowledge and experience in executing change control process and facilitating engineering review and configuration control boards
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Excel, Power Point, and Word
  • Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills necessary to interface with customers
  • Possess excellent written, verbal communications and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of EIA-649-1, and MIL-HDBK-61
  • Knowledge of DoD-5010-12-M and DoD-5015.02-STD
  • Demonstrated capability in defining, documenting, and instantiating the configuration management process for programs and projects, including recommending and implementing military standards and CM best practices

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Top Secret clearance
  • Configuration Manager certification, such as Certified International Configuration Manager (CICM)
  • Familiarity with JIRA/Confluence
  • 4+ years experience working with military or DoD civilian clients and managing professional relationships
  • 4+ years experience working in a highly competitive multi-contractor environment
