Job Summary
Configuration Management Engineer based in Newcastle upon Tyne, UK, joining the Fusion and Modular Nuclear Business Unit. You will manage configuration across complex systems, act as an interface between engineering, construction, and project controls teams, maintain baselines, and implement configuration management across design changes and interfaces. Responsibilities include coordinating multidisciplinary stakeholders, producing configuration data and KPIs to support informed decisions, supporting audits and assurance checks, maintaining Plant Configuration Registers, and tracking design evolution and interfaces between work packages. The role requires experience in regulated or safety-critical environments, and a degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering, with strong attention to technical data and drawings, and proficient use of Word and Excel. Required Qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering
- Experience within one or more engineering disciplines
- Background in configuration, design, or technical documentation processes
- Strong attention to detail with technical data and drawings
- Confident use of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Able to communicate effectively with engineering and construction teams
- Experience in regulated or safety-critical environments
- Exposure to large industrial or infrastructure projects
