Job Summary
Provide software product build configuration management by administering version control software, managing Git repositories, and overseeing branching and versioning for development staff. Maintain build automation systems, audit configuration controlled artifacts, and develop configuration management documents including Software Version Description files. Ensure complete release notes and manage software movement through test and production environments while collaborating with software and testing teams to troubleshoot system issues. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience, Linux/Jenkins/Git/Jira proficiency, and DOD clearance. Based in Phoenix Defense's state-of-the-art modeling and simulation programs, the engineer supports the Software Design Team as Build Manager, coordinating delivery timelines and quality gating for national defense initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar
- 2+ years of Configuration Management experience
- If no degree, 5 years' systems analysis and design and/or software development experience
- Linux experience
- Jenkins experience
- Git experience
- Jira experience
- Working knowledge of at least two operating systems/platforms
- Build / Deploy experience
- Understanding of CI/CD processes and tooling as it relates to infrastructure code and applications
- Experience with infrastructure provisioning tools
- Ability to obtain or currently hold a DOD clearance
- U.S. citizenship
