Job Summary

Own the configuration management process for all products by creating, reviewing, releasing, and maintaining Bills of Materials (BOMs) and configurable Model BOMs. Define and maintain product configuration rules, option compatibility, and allowable product combinations while establishing released Product Standards for model numbering and part number schemas. Ensure product structures accurately represent engineering intent and manufacturing requirements through regular ERP and BOM audits. Support new product introductions by establishing ERP structures and configuration data, then train Sales and Customer Service personnel on configurable offerings. Act as the quality gatekeeper for released product configurations and support Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales, Customer Service, and Supply Chain with product configuration questions.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or Systems Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience in configuration management, manufacturing engineering, product engineering, product data management, or a related technical role
  • Strong understanding of Bills of Materials (BOMs), configurable products, and product structures
  • Experience with engineering drawings, CAD systems, and product documentation
  • Experience working with ERP systems (Syteline preferred)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy and product integrity
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple product releases and competing priorities

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience in power electronics, energy storage systems, or power conversion technologies
  • Experience supporting complex configurable industrial or electrical products
  • Understanding of electrical power systems including inverters, UPS, BESS, and battery technology
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, revision control, and engineering documentation standards
