Job Summary
Evaluate, develop, and maintain accurate equipment and systems data utilized by engineering, industrial, and Navy disciplines within the Model Based Product Support (MBPS) cloud platform. Interpret incoming data change requests, review technical documentation to ensure configuration records are complete, and execute changes in accordance with Navy procedures. Analyze ship equipment hierarchies, develop planning data for new installations, and champion Business Operating System principles across the organization. Maintain regular communication with assigned Navy 3MC personnel to address logistics concerns promptly. This role requires a U.S. citizen with a current or obtainable Secret Security Clearance and experience ranging from Technician I to III levels.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Current Secret Security Clearance with the US Government
- Ability to obtain an interim security clearance within the first 45 days of hire
- U.S. Citizen
- Technician I: 0-1 years' experience
- Technician II: 1-4 years' experience
- Technician III: 5-9 years' experience
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong equipment/mechanical aptitude
- Ability to work from a computer all day
- Basic Microsoft Office Suite experience
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and assignments
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate BIW Apprentice
- Working knowledge of shipboard equipment and systems
- Skilled computer user
- Advanced Microsoft Office Suite experience
- Ability to analyze technical documentation for accuracy and completeness
- Working knowledge of Navy technical documentation and terms
- Ability to read, understand, and interpret ship equipment/system drawings
- Strong understanding of Change Management principles
- Shipbuilding/shipboard or related experience
