Job Summary
Supervise team members directing the setup, refresh, and tear-down of meeting spaces while managing audio/visual systems and troubleshooting equipment breakdowns. Coordinate duties for accurate, timely room preparation and oversee the transport and storage of tables, chairs, and other equipment. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout function and storage areas, ensuring inventory accounts and safety compliance. Respond to guest and associate requests, monitor daily operations, and conduct training to develop associate skills. Work varying hours including evenings and weekends to keep the team efficient during busy periods.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in a hotel or a related field
- Previous Conference Services experience
- Ability to stand during the entire shift
- Ability to bend and kneel on floor often during shift
- Ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally
- Ability to exert 50 pounds of force frequently or constantly
- Attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous demeanor
- Ability to maintain a professional working relationship
- Ability to promote open lines of communication
- Ability to monitor and supervise daily operations
- Ability to identify opportunities to update or improve department objectives and standard operating procedures
- Ability to conduct departmental training and meetings
- Ability to assist with associate performance reviews
- Ability to prepare knowledge-based documents
- Ability to motivate, coach and counsel department personnel
- Ability to ensure training and compliance on Standard Operating Procedures, Q Center policies, technical tasks and risk management
- Ability to operate all aspects of the department computer system
- Ability to generate and analyze reports
- Ability to program simple software
- Ability to respond to associate and guest requests, problems, complaints and/or accidents
- Ability to maintain a clean, organized work area
- Ability to ensure overall associate and guest satisfaction and safety
- Ability to oversee the setup of audio/visual systems
- Ability to troubleshoot and rectify AV problems
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout function space, pre-function space and storage areas
- Ability to ensure storerooms are neat, organized and stocked
- Ability to oversee the breakdown of functions after completion
- Ability to supervise the transport and storage of tables, chairs, and other equipment
- Ability to move, set up, operate and maintain AV equipment
- Ability to refresh meeting rooms
- Ability to notify management of any hazards
- Ability to review and account for inventory items
- Ability to work flexible and long hours
- Ability to work days, afternoons and evenings throughout the week and weekend
Desired Qualifications
