Job Summary
Manage existing accounts, solicit new business, and respond immediately to meeting planners to capture future revenue. Plan and execute all event catering operations, including creating rooming lists, banquet event orders, and VIP lists according to established protocols. Coordinate with operational departments for set-up and service recovery, while maintaining pricing integrity and proposing upscale menu enhancements. Finalize event billing, conduct post-event follow-ups, and submit required reports to ensure profitable operations. Work closely with sales managers and supervisors to address challenges and implement solutions that meet or exceed productivity goals.
Required Qualifications
- At least 3-5 years of progressive experience in a luxury hotel or a related field
- 2-year college degree
- 3 years of related, luxury hotel experience
- Proficient in Windows
- Company approved spreadsheets
- Word processing
- Knowledge of F&B preparation techniques
- Knowledge of dietary restrictions
- Knowledge of health department rules and regulations
- Knowledge of liquor laws and regulations
- Extensive knowledge of all hotel departments
- Warm and friendly demeanor
- Ability to communicate both verbally and written
