Job Summary
Conference Services Manager responsible for managing and executing group assignments handed off by Sales, actively participating in sales processes including booking events. Responsibilities include strategic decision-making to maximize conference financial results, overseeing contracts for meeting space, F&B, and concessions, upselling meeting packages, coordinating across hotel departments, maintaining strong client relations, managing room blocks and contract terms, reviewing and enforcing deadlines, producing convention resumes, distributing Banquet Event Orders, forecasting group revenues within a 5% variance, ensuring accurate billing and invoicing, leading pre-conference meetings, and coordinating event setup and staff to ensure successful meetings for planners and attendees. Requires event management experience, proficiency with Word/Excel, familiarity with Delphi or CITY, knowledge of F&B operations, and ability to work independently or in a team with flexible scheduling.
Required Qualifications
- Previous event management experience preferred
- Proficiency in Word and Excel required
- Proficiency in Delphi or CITY preferred
- Knowledge of Food & Beverage operations strongly preferred
- Ability to work independently or with a team with minimal supervision
- Knowledge of food & beverage products, preparation, presentation and pricing
- Knowledge of meeting room capacities, banquet set-up, audiovisual & related details
- Knowledge of hotel and competitive market
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays
