Job Summary
Conference Services Manager responsible for managing and executing group assignments from sales, participating in events booking, and maximizing hotel revenue through strategic group management. Duties include monitoring contractual agreements for meeting space and F&B, up-selling the meeting package, ensuring clear communication with hotel departments, maintaining client relations, managing room blocks and contracts (including attrition and cut-off dates), producing convention resumes, distributing banquet event orders, forecasting group revenues, reviewing invoices and billing accuracy, leading banquet order and resume reviews, coordinating event setups with kitchen and staff, and serving as the on-site point of contact for meeting planners. Requires knowledge of Word/Excel, familiarity with Delphi or CITY systems, and strong knowledge of F&B operations; flexibility to work weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Previous event management experience preferred
- Proficiency in Word and Excel is required
- Proficiency in Delphi or CITY is preferred
- Knowledge of Food & Beverage operations strongly preferred
- Must be able to work independently or with a team with minimal direct supervision
- Knowledge of food & beverage products, proper preparation, presentation and pricing
- Knowledge of meeting room capacities, banquet setup, audio visual and related function-room details
- Knowledge of hotel and competitive market
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
