Job Summary

Manage assigned events and group programs from post-contract planning through execution and follow-up, serving as the primary hotel contact for clients. Conduct planning meetings and site visits to translate client visions into successful events, ensuring Banquet Event Orders are accurate and distributed on time. Coordinate requirements with Banquets, Culinary, Stewarding, Engineering, Front Office, Housekeeping, Security, and Audio Visual departments to ensure spaces are prepared according to standards. Monitor events on property, respond promptly to client requests, and review billing for accuracy before finalization. Complete post-event follow-up, communicate feedback to leadership, and maintain organized event records within sales and catering systems. Support the Sales and Catering team in achieving service and revenue goals while identifying opportunities to enhance guest experience and maximize profitability.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Event Management, or a related field preferred
  • Previous experience in hotel catering, conference services, event planning, banquets, or a related hospitality role preferred
  • Working knowledge of banquet operations and food and beverage service
  • Experience creating and managing Banquet Event Orders preferred
  • Experience with hotel sales and catering systems such as Delphi, Opera, or similar platforms preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and follow-through skills
  • Ability to manage multiple events and deadlines in a fast-paced hotel environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, associates, managers, and senior leadership
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and composure while managing changing priorities and client expectations
  • Ability to move throughout the hotel, meeting rooms, banquet spaces, and event areas for extended periods
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during event execution
  • Ability to lift or move up to 25 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to visually inspect event spaces and setups for accuracy and presentation
  • Must maintain a flexible schedule based on business and event needs
  • This position may require evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours during conferences, meetings, and special events
