Job Summary

As the Sales and Events Executive you will convert conference enquiries into confirmed bookings by promptly responding, sending proposals, and following up with clients. You will prepare proposals and contracts, maintain clear communication with clients via phone, email, and in-person interactions, and conduct site inspections as needed. Your focus is on achieving conversion targets, revenue generation, and meeting budgets while delivering passionate, friendly service. You will support revenue opportunities with the Director of Conference & Events and assist the Conferences & Events Coordinator, as well as help Reservations with basic tasks and ensure alignment between event bookings and accommodation requirements. You will design memorable event experiences, negotiate favorable terms with suppliers, and collaborate across Events and Reservations teams to ensure successful outcomes.

Required Qualifications

  • Past experience in a similar role
  • Creativity for designing event experiences
  • Proficiency in budgeting, cost estimation, and financial management
  • Proficiency in negotiating with suppliers, vendors, and clients
  • Strategic mindset for orchestrating events
  • Attention to detail and time management
  • Basic working knowledge of hotel reservations systems or processes
  • Strong collaboration skills with Events and Reservations teams
  • Flexible availability to accommodate shifts, including mornings, late evenings, weekends, and public holidays
