Job Summary
Set up and operate conduit machines while performing product inspection and weighing counts. Drive a forklift to move materials and deliver orders to cells. Maintain department equipment and solve independent problems regarding raw materials, finished products, and production speeds. Operate all equipment safely and respectfully with team members in a manufacturing environment. Work near mechanical parts and vibrations, handling heavy objects up to 50 pounds while standing for long periods.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or the equivalent combination of education and experience
- A minimum of six months experience in a similar or related position
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Proficient in SPC and blueprint reading
- Able to operate department equipment
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry our instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- Must be able to list/carry heavy objects up to 50 pounds
- Standing for long periods of time; walking
- Hand dexterity
