Conductor/Engineer

Job Summary
Operate locomotives and railcars in freight service in full compliance with FRA, AAR, GCOR, and company rules; perform movement of trains, assemble/switch trains per work orders, monitor speed, brakes, and gauges, interpret train orders and signals, inspect railcars per FRA regulations, prepare required daily reports and switch lists, and communicate train information. Will be cross-trained to perform other rail-related duties such as minor track repair, servicing locomotives, and general labor. Requires a high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, FRA 240 and 242 Certification, and typically 2 years of work experience (3+ preferred). Physical requirements include heavy work, lifting, climbing, outdoor conditions, and the ability to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen. Location-based roles are in Semora, NC (Roxboro Ops) with on-site work as described; candidates must operate in outdoor, potentially loud and hazardous environments with adherence to safety procedures.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- FRA 240 and 242 Certification
- Two years of work experience; three years of relevant experience preferred
