Job Summary
The Conductor coordinates train-crew activities and ensures safe switching of railcars on freight trains, reading and acting on dispatcher orders, timetables, and safety instructions. Duties include preparing daily reports and switch lists, ensuring compliance with train orders, signals, and FRA regulations; conducting train movements; climbing on/off equipment; operating switches and coupling/uncoupling air hoses; observing signals and color differentiation; maintaining safety and awareness of surroundings; assisting with other projects as assigned. Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and Certification as a Conductor; ability to pass training and testing; ability to lift 50-80 pounds; able to work varying shifts including nights and weekends. Location: Harrington, DE, USA; on-site work with standard railroad environment.
