Job Summary
Perform vehicle inspections to assess overall condition in the lane and online, verifying identification and updating vehicle information including year, make, model, and trim lines. Inspect equipment, options, interior, tires, and mechanical components while documenting damages and estimating repair costs. Take photographs to support reports, review odometer data, and assess frame and unibody condition. Move vehicles throughout the lot and park them in designated areas as needed. Work outdoors in any weather conditions, standing, walking, and kneeling to complete tasks with minimal supervision.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license
- Safe driving record
- Ability to operate computer, laptop, or tablet
- Ability to write reports in a professional manner
- Basic knowledge of vehicles
- Ability to utilize standardized lists to assign costs for damage
- Detail oriented
- Able to work with minimal supervision
- Able to prioritize duties
- Able to communicate well both in person and in writing
- Must be able to drive a manual and automatic transmission
- Must be able and willing to be underneath vehicles to do visual frame inspection
