Job Summary
Site Superintendent will supervise and schedule all concrete activities at local job sites, direct foremen, ensure work is completed on time and on budget, and uphold safety and quality requirements. Responsibilities include supervising job-site activities, communicating with owners and owners' representatives, resolving conflicts to minimize delays, instructing field staff on processes and procedures, planning and supervising field activities (construction methods, manpower, material quantities, equipment, schedules), collaborating with office staff on production rates and schedules, participating in Level 10 meetings, expanding knowledge of industry practices, solving problems as they arise, applying labor-relations policies, upholding the company’s integrity and ethics, and performing other relevant tasks.
Required Qualifications
- At least five (5) years in concrete or heavy civil construction
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work closely with team members
- Excellent problem-solving skills and adaptability in working with diverse individuals
- Strong computer skills including word processing and spreadsheets
- Ability to plan and supervise field activities, manpower, materials, equipment, and schedules
- Experience coordinating with office staff on production rates, construction methods, and schedules
- Ability to participate in Level 10 meetings with local office staff
