Job Summary
The Concrete Quality Manager is responsible for providing Quality Assurance guidance to manufacturing locations, overseeing plant quality performance, and evaluating quality metrics such as Cost of Poor Quality (CoPQ). This role involves working directly with quality personnel, providing support for Quality Management Systems compliance, and participating in audits. The position requires significant travel across North America and demands strong communication skills to effectively guide and influence plant management and quality teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with 6 years of relevant experience
- Associate’s degree with 8 years of relevant experience
- 10 years of relevant experience
- Previous supervisory experience in a production or Quality Assurance role in a fabrication environment
- Experience in the concrete industry
- Familiar with QC concrete testing methods and NDT methods
- Capable of interpreting production drawings, and internal and external specifications to distinguish between conforming and non-conforming products
- Comfortable using and explaining best judgement regarding specification interpretation on a regular basis
- Above average proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to accurately disseminate industry specific information to QC personnel
- Six Sigma Green Belt
Desired Qualifications
- Six Sigma Black Belt
- Prestressed Concrete Institute or American Concrete Institute Quality certifications
