Job Summary
Concrete Project Engineer responsible for supporting planning, coordination, and execution of concrete construction projects. Works with project managers, field crews, and subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and per contract documents. Key duties include reviewing contract documents, assisting with planning and scheduling, managing submittals and RFIs, procuring materials and subcontractors, coordinating with field teams, developing 3D models for planning, monitoring progress, and maintaining strong stakeholder communication.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and details
- Understanding of concrete construction methods, sequencing, and best practices
- Experience with submittals, RFIs, and procurement processes
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in construction software and 3D modeling tools (e.g., Revit, Navisworks, or similar)
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
- Experience with concrete construction
- Proficiency in 3D modeling tools (Revit, Navisworks, Tekla, Civil 3D)
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
- Experience with submittals, RFIs, and procurement processes
- Knowledge of scheduling software (Primavera P6, Planerea, MS Project)
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Self-motivated and able to work independently and in a team
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
