Job Summary
Operate and maintain plant equipment and machinery, including asphalt, concrete, and crushing plants, while monitoring production processes to ensure efficient and safe material output. Perform regular maintenance to identify and resolve equipment issues, strictly adhering to safety protocols and protective gear requirements. Communicate regularly with crew members and subcontractors to track project schedules, deadlines, and budget adherence, developing relationships to address on-site construction issues. Must be willing to do out of state travel when needed. This role supports Emery Sapp & Sons, Inc.'s delivery of complex heavy civil projects across grading, excavation, and paving sectors.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in plant operations
- experience in a construction setting
- Knowledge of and experience with various types of plant equipment and machinery, including asphalt plants, concrete plants, and crushing plants
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze production data and identify trends and opportunities for improvement
- Must be willing to do out of state travel when needed
