Concrete Paving Mechanic

Job Summary
Set up, adjust, and maintain concrete pavers including Guntert, CMI, Gomaco, and DBI models to ensure proper operation and optimal pavement performance. Ensure paver widths and depths meet project specifications while troubleshooting hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems. Monitor equipment for high-quality production and perform preventive maintenance to maximize uptime. Adhere to safety protocols and industry best practices during strenuous physical tasks involving lifting up to 50 pounds, stooping, and bending. Work closely with paving crews to complete jobs efficiently. Ability to travel and work overtime as requested.
Required Qualifications
- Technical skills in concrete paving and compaction operations
- Strong work ethic and willingness to work as a team to efficiently complete jobs to the highest customer satisfaction
- Set up and adjust concrete pavers (widths, depths, screed calibration) for optimal performance
- Troubleshoot and maintain paving equipment, including hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
- Work closely with paving crews to ensure smooth and efficient paving operations
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs to maximize equipment uptime
- Ensure proper calibration for ride quality and smoothness in paving operations
- Follow all safety protocols and industry best practices
- Ability to use arms and hand to reach for, handle, and manipulate objects
- Ability to do physical labor and other strenuous physical tasks
- Ability to perform frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds unassisted
- Must be able to see and hear well (naturally or with correction)
- Ability to travel and work overtime, as requested
