Job Summary
Operate a concrete mixer truck on public streets and construction sites to transport and deliver material while performing pre/post trip inspections, quality control checks, and vehicle repairs. Climb on, over, and around the vehicle to secure loads, inspect mix consistencies, and maintain clean drums free of debris. Wash trucks, clean cabs, and assist shop personnel with equipment as needed. Maintain contact with managers via radio or GPS regarding delays, follow all safety regulations, and keep accurate operator logs. Work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and overtime as required by customers.
Required Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A or B North Carolina Driver's license
- Good driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 21 years of age or older
- Current medical examination certificate with card
- Dependable transportation
- Ability to lift or move heavy weight materials or equipment (over 80 pounds)
- Ability to work around noise, dust, heat, cold, oil, and heavy equipment
- Ability to exchange ideas quickly and clearly
- Ability to receive and evaluate detailed information and instructions
- Good work ethic
- Dependable
- On-time
- Regular and predictable attendance
- Must be able and willing to work overtime if needed
- Must be available for nights, weekends, and work outside for extended periods during all seasons of the year
Desired Qualifications
- One to two year experience in driving a commercial vehicle
