Job Summary
Operate a concrete mixer truck on public streets and highways and construction sites to transport and deliver concrete material. Perform pre/post trip vehicle inspections, secure loads, and conduct quality control checks on concrete mix consistencies. Assist with repairs, wash trucks, and keep mixer drums free from debris. Maintain operator logs, comply with all company policies, and communicate delays or problems to managers via radio or GPS. Work long, flexible hours including nights, weekends, and extended periods outside during all seasons. Maintain a clean, neat appearance and drive in a safe, lawful, and courteous manner.
Required Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A or B North Carolina Driver's license
- Good driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 21 years of age or older
- Current medical examination certificate with card
- Dependable transportation
- Ability to lift or move heavy weight materials or equipment (over 80 pounds)
- Ability to work around noise, dust, heat, cold, oil, and heavy equipment
- Ability to exchange ideas quickly and clearly
- Ability to receive and evaluate detailed information and instructions
- Good work ethic
- Dependable
- On-time
- Regular and predictable attendance
- Must be able and willing to work overtime if needed
- Must be available for nights, weekends, and work outside for extended periods during all seasons of the year
Desired Qualifications
- One to two year experience in driving a commercial vehicle
