Concrete Mixer Driver

Job Summary
Drive a truck to receive sand, gravel, cement, and water at the loading hopper, then transport materials to unloading locations. Release concrete via chute into wheelbarrows or directly into pour areas, and perform daily pre and post trip inspections. Clean the truck after delivery to prevent hardening and spray protective compounds to prevent adhesion. Assemble cement chutes and maintain vehicles in compliance with FMCSA and H&K Safety policies. Work nights and weekends on a 60-hour week during the busy season. This role supports Rahns Concrete's production of ready-mix and precast products across eastern Pennsylvania and the Mid-Atlantic region.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (such as the GED) from an accredited educational institution
- Class B CDL
- Good driving record
- 1 year of experience tri-axle driver
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Able and willing to work nights and weekends, and be adaptable to start time and schedule based on business needs
- Problem solving
- Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed
- Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)
- Regularly required to Use hands to finger, handle, or feel
- Lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Frequently required to Stand, walk, or sit
- Reach with hands and arms
- Talk or hear
- Climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Regularly requires night and weekend work and a 60-hour work week during the busy season
Desired Qualifications
- 3 years of experience tri-axle driver
- Experience working in a quarry, heavy civil construction, or other outdoor industrial setting
- Strong preference for concrete transportation and manufacturing
- OSHA or other relevant safety certification
