Concrete Mixer Driver

Job Summary
Drive a concrete mixer to job sites and safely deliver loads in various conditions. Responsibilities include safely operating a ready-mix truck, estimating slump, verifying directions with plant personnel, meeting customer expectations, maintaining cleanliness, maintaining radio contact with dispatch, assisting others, performing pre- and post-trip inspections, and completing minor roadside repairs as needed. Must adhere to DOT and OSHA rules, wear protective equipment, and manage physical tasks (lifting 35–50 pounds, pushing/pulling, climbing). DOT physical and drug/alcohol testing required; require valid Texas CDL (A or B) and FMCSA Clearinghouse registration.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Texas commercial driver's license (CDL A or B)
- At least 18 years old
- MVR cleared - No DUI's or DWI's in the last 5 years
- No refusals or positive drug screen results in the last 5 years
- No more than 2 moving violations in the previous 3 years
- Must be registered with the FMCSA Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse
- Able to exert 50–100 pounds occasionally, 25–50 pounds frequently, 10–20 pounds continually
- Must pass DOT physical including back x-ray, hearing test and drug/alcohol screen
- Willingness to work outdoors in extreme temperatures and conditions
- Must be able to perform pre- and post-trip inspections and communicate with supervisor/dispatch
