Job Summary
Concrete Mixer Driver responsible for safely delivering concrete via a ready-mix truck to various job sites, performing pre- and post-trip inspections, and adhering to DOT/OSHA regulations. Duties include safely driving to destinations, checking loads, estimating slump, verifying directions with plant personnel, maintaining equipment cleanliness, maintaining radio contact, assisting others, completing inspections, and potentially performing minor roadside repairs. Requires a valid Texas CDL (A or B), 18+ years old, FMCSA Clearinghouse registration, clean driving record with limited violations, and ability to lift 35–50 pounds; work environment includes outdoor conditions and exposure to extreme temperatures and noise in Maxwell, TX.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess a valid Texas issued commercial driver's license (CDL A or B)
- Be at least 18 years of age
- MVR must be cleared - No DUI's or DWI's in the last 5 years
- No refusals or positive drug screen results in the last 5 years
- No more than 2 moving violations in the previous 3 years
- Must be registered with the FMCSA Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse
- Requires walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing to a significant degree
- Exerting 50 – 100 pounds of force occasionally
- Exerting 25 – 50 pounds of force frequently
- Exerting 10 – 20 pounds of force continually
- Must pass DOT physical to include back x-ray, hearing test and drug/alcohol screen
- Continuous exposure to extreme heat, extreme cold, extreme noise, and working outdoors
- Must wear protective equipment while on the job
