Job Summary
Driver of concrete mixer trucks responsible for safely delivering ready-mix concrete to job sites. Requires adherence to DOT regulations, performing pre/post trip inspections, maintaining safe operation of the truck, and communicating with dispatch. Duties include verifying loads, estimating slump, ensuring accurate delivery, maintaining equipment cleanliness, and complying with safety standards. Physical demands include lifting and maneuvering up to 50-100 pounds and exposure to outdoor conditions; includes driving to various sites and potential minor roadside repairs. DOT physical, back x-ray, hearing test, and drug/alcohol screening required, with exposure to extreme temperatures and outdoor work.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess a valid Texas issued commercial driver's license (CDL A or B)
- Be at least 18 years of age
- MVR must be cleared - No DUI's or DWI's in the last 5 years
- No refusals or positive drug screen results in the last 5 years
- No more than 2 moving violations in the previous 3 years
- Must be registered with the FMCSA Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse
