Job Summary
Perform concrete repair and maintenance operations in the Adkins, Texas area, including forming, finishing, and fixing highway infrastructure. Operate wheel loaders, skidsteers, and various small hand tools while adhering to federal, state, and local regulations. Maintain proper safety equipment and carry out simple arithmetic functions for tasks such as material estimation. This role requires a clean driving record, ability to pass background checks, and proficiency with smartphones and applications. Candidates must work rotating day or night shifts, including weather events like snow and ice. Total compensation includes a base rate of $17.00/hr or $19.50/hr for guardrail experience, plus free PPE, health benefits, and a 401(k) plan.
Required Qualifications
- Concrete forming, finishing, and repair experience
- Minimum 2 years of related experience
- Exposure to using shovels, weed trimming machinery, brooms, & various small hand tools
- Wheel Loader, Skidsteer, etc operator
- Roadway maintenance experience
- Air compressor operations familiarity
- Guardrail and Sign installation experience
- MOT (Traffic control certifications/courses)
- Bilingual: English/Spanish (read/write)
- Clean driving record
- Must pass criminal background check
- High School Diploma/GED
- Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations
- Carry out simple arithmetic functions
- Maintain proper safety equipment required for each job
- Knowledge and ability to adapt to the latest technology
- Ability to use smart phone and applications
- Ability to adjust to changing work schedule
- Ability to work safely under ranging environmental and weather conditions
- Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
- Ability to operate hand/power tools
- Must be able to work rotating day or night shift
- Must be able to work weather events such as snow, ice, and floods
Desired Qualifications
- Day shift starting rate of $17.00/hr with no prior highway maintenance experience
- Guardrail Experience starting rate of $19.50/hr
