Job Summary
Assist concrete crews with site preparation, form setup, rebar placement, pouring, and finishing support on heavy civil and infrastructure projects. Prepare and clean job sites before and after pours, including grading, compacting, and material staging. Operate hand and power tools, load and transport materials, and set, strip forms, and install embeds or anchor bolts. Maintain a clean and safe work environment while following all safety protocols and PPE requirements. Work closely with foremen and finishers to ensure quality standards are met, adapting to changing site conditions and weather. Perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds and work overtime, weekends, or travel as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in construction
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- Basic math and measurement skills
- Ability to follow directions
- Ability to work independently or as part of a crew
- Willingness to work overtime
- Willingness to work weekends
- Willingness to travel
Desired Qualifications
- Concrete or heavy civil experience
- Basic understanding of concrete processes (forming, pouring, finishing, curing)
