Job Summary
Control traffic near work zones, clean construction sites, and signal equipment operators for alignment. Read plans and specifications to determine activities, then load, unload, and distribute materials according to project requirements. Dig trenches, backfill excavations, and compact earth to grade using picks, shovels, or tampers. Mix, pour, or spread concrete with portable mixers and tend pumps, compressors, or generators for power and heating. Erect or dismantle scaffolding, shoring, braces, traffic barricades, ramps, and other temporary structures. Requires 1+ year of laborer experience.
